Basics of Images

SESSION DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

Session-1 introduces students to basics of images. The session goals include:

  1. Identify the connections between x-y coordinate plane and use of binary and hex numbers to respectively represent black and white and color images. /
  2. Design basic black and white and color images. /
  3. Develop board understanding of hex and binary numbers. /

To accomplish these goals, Session-1 includes activities described on the cards below. Work through the activities described in each card. Note that the activities in the cards also include programming tasks. Access the programming tasks using the links next to each card.
